Buy Essential Oils – My First Experience
Posted by Karen on Sep 17, 2010
When someone first told me about therapeutic grade essential oils and recommended that I give them a try, I looked at the price (Young Living) and thought, “This is a gimmick. How could something be of such better quality that it commands that kind of price?” I tried a couple that friends let me try — not addressing anything in particular — but they didn’t impress me so I put the idea out of my mind for several years.
Buy Essential Oils – What You Need to Know

Looking to buy essential oils? Choosing the right oils can be confusing and overwhelming but it’s important to do your research and find reputable companies who sell therapeutic grade essential oils. Unlike synthetic essential oils, therapeutic grade essential oils have the medicinal qualities of the plant still in tact and therefore offer curative effects. Prices may be higher for these oils, but the quality is worth the extra money.
Seek out vendors who test their oils, supply samples, and give you confidence in their knowledge. Look for the Latin or botanical name of the plant and the country in which the plants were grown. Most reputable companies will provide this to prove the oil is authentic and to ensure you are getting the right essential oil. For example, there are many species of lavender and this shows they are marketing to knowledgeable people as well as the general public.
